

EXPERIENCE: Dr. Dolores E. Lee McCabe, a servant of Jesus Christ, has served God and humanity in professional ministry and counseling for more than four decades. However, she has been on this Christian journey since accepting Jesus Christ and having been baptized at an early age. The church and higher education have been her context for service. Licensed in 1986 at 2nd Baptist/Wayne, Dr. Raymond Thomas, Ph.D., Pastor, ordained in 1990 at Zion Baptist/Ardmore, Dr. James A. Pollard, Sr., Ph.D. and called to Millcreek Baptist Church of Philadelphia in 2000. She retired in 2010.
During her pastorate, Millcreek annually spearheaded Stop the Violence Conferences and Gun buybacks, a food & clothing ministry and a weekly worship service & meal for the homeless, summer camps and after-school ministry. Under her leadership the entire church was renovated including painting, carpet, tile, new pulpit furniture, a baptismal pool, office furniture and fellowship hall furniture. Prior to Millcreek, she completed her 26-year career at Eastern University as associate professor of counseling and social justice and earlier served as associate dean of students and director of the Cushing Center for Counseling and Academic Support. Currently Dr. McCabe serves as a Councilwoman for her local municipality.
EDUCATION: The Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary,renamed Palmer Theological Seminary is where she received her M.Div. & D. Min. in Marriage & Family Counseling. Dr. McCabe also studied at the famous Jungian Institute, Kusnacht, Switzerland and is a graduate of the Baptist Seminary of Zimbabwe, Africa, graduating in March 2006 with a post-graduate certificate in pastoral ministry.
INTERNATIONAL PREACHING & TRAVEL: Dr. McCabe has preached in Guyana, South America, Jamaica, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Africa, the townships of Daveyton, SOWETO, and Lamountville in South Africa, the Czech Republic, and Canada. Additionally, she traveled to Brazil, Hawaii, China, Korea, Ghana,the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Mexico, England, France, and Alaska.
PUBLICATIONS: Rev. McCabe has contributed to 8 publications, including “Black Presence in the Bible,” American Baptist Journal, “How Long?” American Baptist Journal,“Transitions” Woman at the Well by Mary Mild, “Remembering Culture: The Roots of Culturally Relevant Anger,” Playing with Anger by Dr. Howard C. Stevenson, Jr., and an article entitled “Jezebel: The Wicked Queen” in the Women of Color Bible.
FAMILY LIFE: Dr. McCabe is a widow after more than 40 years of marriage to C. Wilbert McCabe, PhD. The McCabe’s have four adult children: Patrick McGee, BA, Minister Tracy McGee, Ph.D. Candidate, M.Div., MA, M. Ed., BA, Reverend Bethany McCabe, MA, M.Div., BA, and Wilbert II, graduate of John Bartram High School. Their grandchildren are Monique McGee, MBA, BA, Georgia State University, & elementary grandchildren Daijah, Mi’Asiah, Jahsir, Josiah & Ryhiss. The entire family owes its growth and development to the grace and mercy of God.
